JUST IN: Flip-Flopping Fauci – Looking Into Using ‘Requirement’ Instead of ‘Mandate’, For COVID Vaccine Enforcement

As director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the Chief Medical Advisor to the President, Dr. Anthony Fauci’s influence over the lives of 340 million Americans is enormous.

On most days you don’t have to guess where Fauci is though.

He can usually be found on television telling the world how smart he is. At 80 years of age, he is still a busy guy, as the bureaucratic choice for creating and promoting the COVID vaccine mandates narrative.

In the face of omicron, reporters have been regularly asking Dr. Fauci and the White House about the need to change the definition. Currently, a person is considered fully vaccinated when they have received two doses of a Pfizer or Moderna regimen or a shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Fauci said Friday that the possibility of changing the definition for fully vaccinated is “certainly on the table” as the number of new COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to climb due to the omicron variant, and lack of effectiveness of the vaccines preventing becoming infected.

“It is a bit of semantics in that fully vaccinated for the purpose of the regulations and requirements that people have is to be what are you considered as being fully vaccinated.” Fauci said in an interview with CNBC’s “Squawk Box.” “But there’s no doubt that optimum vaccination is with a booster. I mean, there is no doubt about that.”

He has insisted for weeks that the definition would not change until new data suggested it should be.

During the interview, Fauci also discussed the terminology being used concerning the pandemic suggesting, for political expediency, that a word be replaced in an attempt to soften the resistance of those choosing not to be vaccinated, and joining the collective after all.

“Mandates — that’s a radioactive word. Requirements people seem to respond better to that. They work,” Fauci argued. “We are never going to get out of this outbreak if we still have 50 million people who for reasons that are very difficult to understand refuse to get vaccinated.”
