Chicago Carjacking Victim TURNS TABLES On Attacker, Disarms Thug And Beats Him With His Own Gun

A Chicago thug tried to carjack the wrong man near Midway airport Saturday. Prosecutors say a Chicago man turned the tables on a carjacker at the intersection of 56th Street and Kolin Avenue disarming the felon and beating him with his own gun.

A gunman wearing a ski mask approached a parked car pointing a gun at a woman sitting in the passenger seat. He told her to get out of the car. The woman got out. The carjacker walked to the driver’s door as the driver, a male, was exiting the car.

The thug demanded the man’s wallet. The victim said he didn’t have one but asked the felon if he could get his phone out of the car before the hijacker drove off.

The carjacker said not a chance, he would be keeping the victim’s phone

As the carjacker tried to get in the car the victim made his move.

He grabbed the gun and brought the thug to the ground.

The two wrestled according to prosecutors before the victim put the hijacker in a chokehold and punched him repeatedly.

Eventually, the carjacker let go of the gun.

The victim then beat the thug with his own gun until the police showed up. The woman who exited the car earlier called 911.

Police found a 9-millimeter ghost gun at the scene but never located its ammunition magazine.

According to CWB Chicago:

Prosecutors identified the beaten hijacker as Richard Rubio, 30.

He is charged with attempted aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm and attempted armed robbery.

Rubio’s defense attorney said he is trying to get a truck driving license.

Judge Mary Marubio ordered him to pay a $10,000 bail deposit to get out of jail on electronic monitoring.
